Re: [plugin] DVD Library (12/9/2010 Update)
I got the plugin dev box reborn as a virtual machine tonight, so we're one step closer.
My home file server decided to take a dive too, so that's the next blocking task on getting this back on the road. But progress is being made. |

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (12/9/2010 Update)
Making good progress, I've got most of the basic cases working again.
Still have to run my full test import to catch all the edge cases. |

Once again, Thanks. This is still the best thing out there. Sad that Snapstream couldn't see the potential.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (12/26/2011 Update)
HELP! Certain movies, (avi and mkv's mostly, and only certain ones), show up as a big green splash across the screen when I try and play them. I've added new versions of CCCP codecs, and updated my video driver, even tried re-encoding the movies, but no luck.
does anyone have any idea what this might be and how to overcome it? thx |

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (12/26/2011 Update)
For the BTV import, is this compatible with the newer BTV versions. That seems to be were the problems are happening. The logs don't really tell you anything but a little assembly prodding and it looks like the logon calls are based on the older security model. Changing it doesn't look too hard, any idea if it will be done? I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Re: [plugin] DVD Library (12/26/2011 Update)
Well I answered my own question. I'm a little clear on whether this is allowed or bad form (I didn't see a license or anything) but I did disassemble the DVDCatalogBackend.dll. And it definately does you the older BTV security model. I can confirm that with updated BTV web service from my machine, the import did work fine (assuming no security was set). All that needed to be changed were saving the auth ticket and passing it to the function that newly needed it. I'm assuming it's not allowed to post it it here, but I just wanted to let anyone know if it's in their skill set, it did work pretty easily. (The hardest part was fixing the the decompiling errors).
