Help with Comcast Digital Transition
This is my first post to the forum. I've been procrastinating and comcast officially switched to a digital signal today so I've lost channels as I didn't get my PVR updated yet. I'm here because I didn't build the machine. My ex did and I'm not sure how to go about making it updated. I have 2 1 tuner cards. One of them says "WinTV-PVR-150 NTSC/NTSC-J 25012 Rev B168" The other one says "WinTV NTSC/NTSV-J 32032 Rev B110" (This one has a little "IR" port at the bottom but i'm not sure if this helps me at all. I ordered and received 2 "DTA's" from Comcast. They are Motorola Model DTA-100. They both came with IR cables which can connect to the back of the box so the box can be hidden. I also think from what I've read on here that these will come in handy in making everything work. I'm using Beyond TV 4 as my interface and I currently don't know how to tell apart the 2 capture cards since I'm thinking about only hooking up the DTA to one of them and letting the other card do the lower channels that I don't need the DTA for. I'm looking for help on what software I need to add to the machine. And what hardware if any I need to buy.. I'm thinking i need the usb-uirt but want confirmation on that before spending the money. This machine is running WIN XP SP3. If more information is needed. Let me know and I'll try to give what I can. Please help me get this figured out so I can continue to record my shows. I lose most (all) channels above 27. Of course my favs to record are 34, 37, 74. One other mention is that I'm in Comcast "Reading" area.
