BTV Link reverting to software on 945GM

I just recently got my hands on a Fujitsu U810 UMPC and thought to give BTV Link (4.6.1) a whirl on it. In Vista it worked fine. Now it has been reloaded with XP Tablet, and BTV Link reverts to software mode every time it is started.

The device uses a Intel 945GM based video card. I have the Intel drivers installed as well as DirectX 9.0c, and the dxdiag tests work fine. I have even used the DirectX and Direct3D output modules in VLC.

I know BTV Link works on the 945/950 under XP, and I've even used it on another test-unit UMPC with XP and essentially the same hardware. Any suggestions on what might be hanging it up?

Thanks,
dev*
