ASD Customization

I have found that my machine is a bit too slow to create the DSL-quality (200kb) streams with adequately synched video and audio (they're WAY off kilter). However, the 56kb stream quality is too shabby for my tastes, so I attempted to create a customized asd file. The problem I had is that ssw.exe couldn't find it -- or would crash on load. Am I the only one having this trouble?

What exactly should be put in the form field: filename OR full path+filename?

Also, is there any documentation on what each of the asd file entries adjusts? Why not create an HTML interface to modify each of the asd entries -- using base 10 instead of hexidecimal?
