un-install/re-install problems

I was having a problem with the recording engine not starting to record programs after my system hung and I had to do a power off. I decided to un-install and re-install BTV3.5 in hopes that would correct the problem.

I un-installed, then when I run the install program I get an error message that says 'the current build is currently installed on this machine', even though I have un-installed BTV3.5.

I'm assuming ther is a registry entry somewhere that I can rename, but I don't have a clue which entry it might be and there are still many many snapstream entries in the registry.

Hoping someone could help.

Never mind!

I reloaded BTV 3.4, then I was able to re-install 3.5 with no problems. What a convoluted way to have to get around a problem.
