Hiding wires for a projector

I just installed a projector in my finished basement, and have been looking for a method to hide the VGA and Power cord wires along the ceiling and down the walls. Is this something that I have to build myself, or has anyone seen a product that I could use ?

Re: Hiding wires for a projector

I would think "surface raceways" would be a good thing to use -- a cover of sorts for the wires.

Something like this: Surface raceways wire ducts*hide speaker wires on wall and ceiling junctions

There are quite a few similar things out there.

Surface Raceway 500 Series, cable raceways

There are some photos that look like your description.

Re: Hiding wires for a projector

You can use those cable raceways, but for me that give to much of a "office" or "industrial" look to them. What I like to do is just build a small soffit out of some nice looking finishing lumber and finish it up, or framing up a soffit and putting some drywall over it.

Re: Hiding wires for a projector

If you can run the wires inside the walls, this would work nicely. If not then probably the raceways will be the only way to go. This is from Monoprice
