USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

I recently moved to x64 and also at the same time moved to win7 for my HTPC
I found out i had plenty of driver issues to work out.
One that was a major problem was the driver for USB-UIRT
I contacted the dev and was given a link to a driver but it didnt work for me.
I continued to have blue screens and lock ups.
so i threw these together and the worked for me, I've upgraded win7 twice with the latest builds and used the same drivers without problems.

So for anyone else in the same situation i thought i would share
the amd files are in the zip, but I've only tested / used this on an Intel system.
Attached Files
File Type: zip usbuirt_win7x64_driver.zip (897.8 KB, 135 views)

Re: USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

Hello,

I'm running Windows-7 64. I've downloaded the drivers and can't seem to figure out how to properly install them. I've gone to "Device Manager" and found the USB-Uirt listed under "other devices". I tried to update the drivers, pointing to the location where I unzipped the downloaded drivers. I get a message indicating Windows-7 cannot install unsigned digital drivers. Afterwards, when I attempt to run Beyond-TV setup using the UIRT drivers, The setup cannot find the device. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

you are using these drivers downloaded from the link in my post?

That's what i was getting with the "official" beta drivers.
so i put these together and have not had that problem since.
I've going through 3 builds and these have worked every time for me.

Unfortunatle, I was unable to download your drivers. I get a page with the following:

This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.

This limit is reached.

To download this file, the uploader either needs to transfer this file into his/her Collector's Account, or upload the file again. The file can later be moved to a Collector's Account. The uploader just needs to click the delete link of the file to get further information.

click the link in my 1st post, (on this site)
on the usb-uirt forums i posted with a rapidshare link because they didn't offer a way to upload files to that forum.
I am able to do so here.

If you don't use the drivers i posted then you will get that error message.
that is the reason i posted these because you get that message with the "official" beta drivers

Re: USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

I have downloaded the drivers from the first post in this thread but they are not signed drivers and Windows 7 X64 will not load them. Any ideas?

Awesome! Getting a 64 bit UIRT driver was one of my hangups.

Which video capture card are you using? Did you have issues finding drivers for that?

I had 1 2250 and 2 250's , but the 250's did not have support for x64 in win7
so i pulled the 250's and bought a 2nd 2250
so now i'm running 2x 2250 pci express

I have used those drivers on the last several builds including a freshly formatted / installed RTM and received no such warning. they installed without issue.

Re: USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

I think i've figured out the problem.
I had to reload again, due to a hardware failure, and i downloaded the drivers i posted here.. and i did get the unsigned error.
so i followed my "re-install" process and figured out what step needed to be done 1st.

if you've installed the above driver and the usb-uirt is still in the device mgr list, but not working, uninstall it and check the box that says to remove any files associated with this device.

2nd, download this zip attached to this post, extract it and run the exe 1st
once it's installed, then download the drivers from the 1st post and point your usb uirt to the root folder and install.

let me know if this worked for you!

Hi blitzkrg,

Not to be an ingrate, but does the install1st.exe do?
It is clean, but I prefer to know what to expect.

Thanks for posting it on Snapstream.

they are oem drivers from the chipset manufacturer. (not usbuirt)

I didn't promise it was pretty but it works for me.

Thumbs up Re: USB-UIRT x64 driver inside

Definitely seemed like black magic, but it worked!

I just upgraded from Vista x64 to Windows 7. I tried installing the driver as provided at the top of this thread and ran into the problem of Windows not allowing it to install.

I then uninstalled the driver from within the Device Manager. This made the device completely go away. I ran the magic install1st executable, disconnected and reconnected the UIRT, pointed Windows to the same driver directory as before, and Windows is happy with it. Better yet, so BeyondTV!
