Dvico users... best video card?

I have an Audigy Z2S I believe and it won't output stereo sound and has a slight hum when I use it outside of HD and in beyond tv. What sound card would you recommend?? I am looking for one that is at most $100

There's no reason why that card shouldn't output in stereo. Hell, even the first 16-bit sound cards did.

If you're experiencing a hum, it may be due to external interference. Try moving the speakers away from other electronic devices. You can even experiment with a cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil to function as a shield to see where the interference is coming from.

Re: Dvico users... best video card?

I think if you are not an audiophile, any soundcard made today will be just fine. Mine is internal sound and I am pretty picky and its perfectly acceptable. I just hate internal video to many bad experiences. Just buy a cheap PCI sound card...Jay's advice was a great place to start though, try that first

Re: Dvico users... best video card?

oops, I just realized I said... "best video card"... sorry guys, late night last night

my happauge card doesn't produce any interference sound. Someone else had told me that my sound card has problems with the dvico gold 5. I am planning on making a home theater PC eventually, so I will need a setup that helps there.
