Connection understaning needed
Hello All,
Someone told me they have a XLS connection, I found this: http://www.crownaudio.com/amp_htm/xlsspec.htm To me this is a powered output but what kind of connection is XLS? If they are using nothing but XLS connections powered and pre-powered, is there a way to covert to RCA? OR is XLS a brand name like MONSTER? Last edited by queonda; 04-26-2006 at 07:12 PM. |

Re: Connection understaning needed
XLR is just another connector type that you often see in live audio or pro recording setups. It's the round 3-pin type of connector you may have seen on microphone cables.
There are ways to convert XLR to RCA, but it's not the best way to go. XLR speaker/line inputs/outputs are typically balanced connections, and RCA is unbalanced. Balanced=less noise and generally better performance. |
