WOW!!!! Hi Def Recordings on my TV

After buying a 52" HDTV a year ago my vision was relized tonight. After installing beyond TV4 and (2) FusionHDTV5 cards a couple of days ago and making a trip to best buy tonight for a hdmi to dvi cable. I watched recorded High Def TV tonight for the first time on my Hi Def 52" TV.
Snapstream I was sure glad that your company decided to get into the Hi Def recording market. The only thing that would be nice in my case is to have a mirror recording point. Meaning that I could click on abc, nbc, cbs ect. and record both Hi Def and analog. The reason being is that if I do strickly a Hi Def recording I can not watch it on my other tv's since I use the Media MVP's on them and I can only watch it on my main tv. So currently I am doing 2 recordings of each show that I am recording so that if I want to watch the shows on other tv's, I can

Re: WOW!!!! Hi Def Recordings on my TV

Maybe you could just Showsqueeze those HiDef recordings, and not delete the source. That would give you a recording that you could view on the other TV's, the quality should (theoretically) be outstanding, since you're encoding from a very clean source, and you will have two recordings for the price of one.

I am assuming that the Media MVP can play DivX files.

Showsqueeze on .ts files is not supported yet. I am doing the same (recording in HD and Mpeg) until it is available

Oh. You could try using AutoXviD. It can compress .ts files to XviD files, but it is somewhat complicated to get set up and it isn't as transparent as the BTV Showsqueeze process.
