Will wireless keyboard/mouse work with FF remote?

I've built a BTV dedicated PC. It will be sitting next to my TV.

Being a PC won't boot up without a keyboard or mouse connected,
I purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse that of course utilize an
RF receiver as well. Does anyone know if this will interfere with the
FF remote?

Thanks

I have wireless RF keyboards and Fireflies on two of my BTV PCs and they work fine. If there is a problem, both should have a way to change the channel that they are using

You can actually boot without a keyboard and mouse if your BIOS supports it. Typically you configure it as 'network server mode'.

I had mine that way and found there's always a need for a keyboard/mouse at some point so I added a 2.4 GHz RF keyboard/mouse with no problems.

Most new motherboards will boot up without a keyboard attached. Both the board I just replaced (about 2 years old) and the new board I bought, will both boot up without a keyboard or mouse attached.

Check your BIOS options for something like "HALT ON ALL ERRORS" or something like that and you should be able to change it to errors EXCEPT keyboard or mouse.

Re: Will wireless keyboard/mouse work with FF remote?

I have a Logitech Cordless Desktop EX110 (keyboard and mouse).

Ever since installing Firefly the keyboard (and sometimes mouse) have been flakey, flakey, flakey.

I did update the drivers for firefly to the latest and that did not help.

And the RF for logitech is only 27mhz vs RF433.92 for firefly so i know that is not the issue (also i simply disconnected the firefly transmitter etc and that did not help.

After shutting down the firefly process itself I was sometiimes able to get the keyboard to work again without rebooting but not always. (yes logitech batteries are good -- new as of last week).

So it seems that the firefly software somehow interfers with the logitech.

This is the cheapest Logitech wireless keyboard you can get (but it's still a nice one). So for now it is goodbye to firefly.

Re: Will wireless keyboard/mouse work with FF remote?

I bought a BTC wireless keyboard from SS and love it, works great. I had probs with my FF remote and switch to a MCE. The BTC is a good cheap keyboard. I have had it sence Nov 06 and use it everyday , and it is still on the original AA batterys. Now that's batt life.
