Firefly works poorly with BTV v 4

I just upgraded to BTV v 4.2 and ever since I did, my Firefly remote acts like I'm too far away. I can get it to work by pointing the remote odd directions or getting really close to the receiver. The remote has new batteries. I have the receiver positioned so it has an unobstructed path to the remote and I sit on my couch when I use it, which is about 10 feet away.

I just heard from a friend who has the same problem since he upgraded to BTV 4 also.

Does anyone know what's going on?

I haven't had any issues when I upgraded. Mine seems to be a little more responsive then before too.

Im having a similar problem. It only really seems to not pick up a button click when im actually watching a show or livetv. If im in the menu it almost never has a problem.

i never used any version below 4 but i too noticed my remote sucks, i have to be liek 3-4 feet away, doesn't work from any further than that... also it doesn't work through any objects (which is supposed to be the big selling point of RF over IR)

I have had some other issues with my DVR, and while troubleshooting I swapped the positions of my two single tuner cards in the PC. After doing the swap the Firefly remote is back to its old self - working nicely when I'm sitting on the couch.
