Re: Firefly profile tutorial

has anyone made a profile for the zinc online video browser....or zeevee, whatever they are calling it. I would love to have the exit button work as browserback, but i am not sure how to do it...everything else works fine

Re: Firefly profile tutorial

I'll second that! Just discovered Zinc tonight and am enjoying it--except for the fact I can't go back. Any clever folks out there that can help?

Re: Firefly profile tutorial

I'm sure the answer is here somewhere but I searched and couldn't find it. In Beyond Media when I click "Video" in the main menu I want it to go to an attached drive (F:\movies" to be exact).

I can't even figure out where Beyoond Media is located, let alone the profiles. If I look at the snapstream XML file for it it says:
"<!--
======================================= NOTICE ================================================== ==
This file should not be edited. To change how Beyond Media handles Firefly inputs please edit
InputBindings.xml in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond Media.
If this file is edited Beyond Media may cease to work properly with Firefly.
================================================== =================================================
-->"

But such a folder name "Beyond Media" doesn't exist anywhere within any of my "Documents and Settings" subdirectories, or even within "Program Files".

Also, am I better of going with XBMC or some other interface that's more intuitively configurable?

FYI ... I ended up using XBMC windows version instead of Beyond Media. I also uninstalled the firefly software and used LMRemote software for the firefly remote instead. XBMC is so cool, infinitely better than using BeyondMedia. Nowonder snapstream stopped supporting it.

I'm undecided whether going with LMRemote was the best choice. I thought that using something that appeared better supported and had an online library to pull profiles from was better, but what I've found is that you have to fish through a lot of bad profiles to find the best.

Re: Firefly profile tutorial

XBMC (Xbox Media Center) is absolutely great, I found it cos I have the software installed in my old Xbox, which I still using to watch videos, listen to music and even surf in internet with the Xebian distro installed on it.
The thing I like most is the streaming plugins which allows you to watch so much staff directly from internet.
I have the XBMC with the skin MediaStream v1.00.zip which is so amazing. Even I have the program as a portable so I carry all my library of films and all my films together in my external hard drive.
