Stuck 'Select / Enter' key

I'm having a occasional problem with the 'select' key getting 'stuck'. At first, I thought it was just a fluke but, it happens about once a month. The odd thing is, it's not the remote hardware. Here's the quick version..
  • Only happens with Firefly Mini (or Harmony One emulating Firefly mini)
  • Does not happen with RF verson of Firefly but the RF Firefly has such poor reception in my living room, it's just not an option for me.
  • Only happens occassionally, usually when I'm quickly moving thru the Viewscape interface
  • I have to reboot to 'fix' the issue. When it happens, the PC see the 'Enter' key being hit repeatedly. I've tried to 'End Task' the FF or Viewscape but, the 'Enter' key presses are seen by the Task Manager window as well. This, of course, just locks the workstation since 'lock workstation' is the default button selected on the Task Manager.
  • Happened on two different hardware setups...I cleanly rebuilt both machines twice and the problem still occurred.
  • At first, I thought it was my keyboard, but I had the issue with 2 different keyboards attached and no keyboard at all
  • Remote is not transmitting when the issue happens. I've let the machine run for 20 mins in this state but it just doesn't stop seeing the 'Enter' key presses

This has really become an annoyance but luckily, it doesn't happen daily. It's happened with the last several versions of BTV. Before that, I only used the RF Firefly.

Any suggestions ?

Re: Stuck 'Select / Enter' key

Don't feel alone, I have had the same problem. My first step was to take the batteries out of the FF which didn't stop it. Then I solved it the same way you did.
