Firefly only using default commands

Would anyone know why my Firefly remote is not using the BTV commands? Is does not matter how I start BTV, every button press on the remote control shows up as DEFAULT. If I am running Windows Media Player and press PAUSE, It shows the correct application and command. With BTV, as a result of the DEFAULT commands, PAUSE, REC, or any BTV specific commands are not recognized.
I am running Windows XP and re-ran the BTV setup to make sure the Firefly remote was selected, which it was.
Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Firefly only using default commands

No the remote is not in mouse mode. In fact, sometimes I do have to go into mouse mode so I can pause and record by moving the pointer around the screen and selecting the commands on the screen.

Re: Firefly only using default commands

Mine does this sometime but is usually because the BTV is not in focus. It isn't the active application. Firefly wants to work on the active and if it doesn't know what the active application it just does the "default".

I do mouse mode and click on the BTV screen so that I know that it is active.
