Harmony to replace firefly Mini (UIRT)
I wanted to contribute my experiance to the forum.
I bought a harmony to replace all my remotes. I wanted to control my BTV also with it, and use my UIRT as a receiver. Even though Harmony has the firefly mini remote codes and can autoprogram itself, BTV will not receive those code on the UIRT. A program others have mentioned called HIP allows you to map each key to a keyboard comand. It's a bit cumbersome (it's free) but easy to setup once you figure out the first key. Works great. BTW- on my Harmony setup, pressing the "play video" "Activity" would select my BTV device, but would not make the firefly buttons "active". I had to go into the harmony setup and manually change that.

What's the big deal with keeping both the USB-UIRT and the Firefly mini's IR receiver plugged into the machine? Seems like a lot of trouble for nothing. I could see going this route if you didn't have (or want to spend extra on) a Firefly mini.

I don't own a firelfy or it's receiver. That's the big deal.
