firefly and windvd 7

For the DVD button in firefly settings, i can't get windvd 7 to show up. Has anyone gotten firefly to work with windvd 7? Thanks.

Just modify global.xml profile and it will work.

Save the attached file to the "\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Firefly\Profiles" directory and and restart Firefly.

Firefly will startup WinDVD app but won't pause, play, stop or fast forward WinDVD. Am I missing something?

With my system I had to go into Beyond Media Basic (included with Firefly), and set the DVD application to WinDVD. There isn't an option in the full version of Beyond Media's user interface to do this.

Now the DVD button always launches WinDVD.

Wink Re: firefly and windvd 7

The XML file provided by jbartlett777 does in fact work. Thanks a lot j! There is one thing to note though. Make sure you remove the old WinDVD profile. Or at least edit the old Windvd profile and edit this line:

<Profile Type="SnapStream.Firefly.Core.Profile" Name="WinDVDR" ShowOSD="True">.

Edit the Name="WinDVDR" to Name="(something else)" where (something else) is some other name. This keeps Beyond Media (Basic is what I'm using) from reading it for WinDVD and it uses the WinDVD 7 profile instead.

This worked for me.
