Firefly sends double commands

I have my Firefly remote for about 2 weeks and it works ok but pretty much only line of site with the receiver. I've tried relocating the receiver away from the PC as suggested but no difference. My total distance is about 25 feet and the receiver is only about 3' lower than the remote. (Split level home with TV on one level and PC and receiver on the lower level).
Also, just today the Firefly sends DOUBLE commands. If I push the down arrow the menu will move 2 steps and I can't access the skipped step. If I push the channel up or down it jumps 2 channels instead of one.
I am currently STUCK in the option to delete a recorded program and I need to select yes or no but because of the double commands it wont accept either one.
Any suggestions?

I think this caused by the reception problems the firefly has. Often the firefly doesnt do anything when I hit a button so I hit it again. And then I end up three or four rows down instead of just one.

Are you using the latest version of the firefly software?

I ask this because I did a search on the forums and found this thread which suggests that it might be an x10 bug causing this (and since I have not heard any other talk about this type of issue I’m going to guess it has been fixed).
