Direct TV H23-600 serial control

Hello,

I've been a user of beyond TV for some time and have not really had any major problems until now.

My old receiver was serial tuned using a:
1. null modem cable
2. IOGEAR GUC232A cable.

No problems changing channel.

I now have the reciever listed in the title and I tried every Direct TV model in the serial setup drop-down list to no avail.

Any suggestions?

EDIT.....fixed.....I had to turn the receiver off and on (unplug from wall) to reboot before it would accept serial tuning.
