Re: BTV Media Edit

I've had some problems with the installer project automatically uninstalling previous versions. If you know of a good way to do this, let me know. For now I just added an uninstall link in the start menu folder. The weird movie naming behavior was caused by a value being present in the EpisodeTitle field (probably from a different program). I modified to clear this field.

New version posted.

The title is set to "Movies" so that when sorting by series, all movies are under the same heading. I think this is what BTV does when you set "Is Movie" to yes in the web interface. Can anyone confirm that?

If the "Is Movie" option is checked, then it will categorize the video in your "Movies" folder in the Beyond TV Library (Recorded Shows). It then uses the Sortable Title as the name of the movie in that list. If you don't have "Is Movie" selected, then it is sorted under the Sortable Title with the Episode Name used in that list.
ie,
Sortable Title: The Title
Episode Title: The Episode Title
Episode Description: The Description
Is Movie: YES

Then it will be under:
Movies
->The Title
And when highlighted it shows
The Title - The Description

with
Is Movie: NO

Then you get:
The Title
->The Title - The Episode Title
And when highlighted it shows
The Title - "The Episode Title" - The Description

Re: BTV Media Edit

I understand, but the problem i'm having is that after running btv media edit on my movies folder which contained about 60 movies it set the title for all these to "Movies" instead of the title of the actual movie.

Strange. That I don't know the answer to. If you sort by Series, it should have a Movies folder then all the movies listed by title underneath. Do you have a Movies folder, then a list of 60 "Movies" titled that way?

Re: BTV Media Edit

That is interesting. I have not seen that behavior. What do you see if you try to edit the show in the web interface?

That definitely should not be happening. I will look into the issue this weekend. What version of BTV are you running?
