What directories?

Re: TheTVDB.com Tagger Plugin for BTVShowInfo

This is great

I have installed it and got it running. Ran it on one show and it extracted the data nicely - I notice that you also support the 1x01, 1x02 format as well - that's great

Just one suggestion though - having done this the episodes don't show up in the correct order in the BTV Viewscape. Doing some experimenting I found that if I copy the date from the "SortableTime(r)" field into the "TargetStart" field in BTVShowInfo, then it displays in the right order. I wonder if it would be possible for you to implement this in your next update because right now it is a bit of a pain to do it manually

Thanks so much for this incredibly useful tool

What order do you want? I let BTV sort by Air Date since I pull that information. Then I do it in ascending order so the first show in the list is the oldest one.

That is the order I would like to see, yes (oldest at the bottom of the screen). However I was finding that it didn't actually do that.

I am thinking that the Viewscape uses the TargetStart field to sort - that field didn't appear to get updated by the tagger plugin

Right, I only update "ActualStart" and "OriginalAirDate". "SortableTime(r)" is read-only and gets updated when I update the other two items. I never use "TargetStart" because my testing showed that it didn't matter. How are you sorting your recordings in the Viewscape?

Interesting - I don't think I have any control over the sorting in the viewscape - I am using the default AFAIK - I can't find any UI to allow me to change that

When you are under Recorded Shows, how do you sort by? I usually go By Series. I assume that's what you do. If you are using the Firefly remote, hit the Option button, or the 'o' key on the keyboard. You can then choose what field to sort by. I use Original Air Date and have it ascending. If you want the oldest show at the bottom, choose descending.

Ah - thanks so much - that "o" key thing was completely unintuitive - I guess you find that out by reading the manual or something

That will probably solve my problem - thanks again

Re: TheTVDB.com Tagger Plugin for BTVShowInfo

i love this utility. I have several tv series on my computer that i have ripped from dvd, so this has been very handy for me. I have a DVD library of about 400 movies, all in avi format, and i have each movie named as the ID number from IMDB, for instance 28 days later is named tt0289043.avi. This works great with DVD library, as it always comes up with the correct movie if you have the files named as their imdb ID number. Problem is, in beyond tv instead of saying 28 days later... it says tt0289043.avi. Is anyone interested in doing a plugin for btvshowinfo that would pull metadata from imdb for movies?

Re: TheTVDB.com Tagger Plugin for BTVShowInfo

I have a basic utility that categorizes movies under a Movies section and puts it in alphabetical order. It doesn't pull metadata. I don't think it would be too hard to make something like this. Let me see what I can whip up when I get time.

Re: TheTVDB.com Tagger Plugin for BTVShowInfo

I should have something by next week. I already have the IMDb ID searching working and just need to work on scraping the info. Just been busy!
