Beyond TV setup for development

Hi,

I'm new to Beyond TV and Visual Studio .NET development. Currently I have Visual Studio .NET installed on my notebook and Beyond TV on another PC.

I followed the BTV tutorial#1 (http://www.snapstream.com/Community/...meworkSample1/), but it doesn't work for me because I have the development environment on one machine and BTV on another. How do I develop using the BTV SDK remotely ? I tried the following:

http://btvserver:8129/wsdl/BTVLicenseManager.asmx?op=LogonRemote

but it returned:

The test form is only available for requests from the local machine.

Any idea how to get remote development working ? Any other alternative other than running Visual Studio .NET on the same machine as BTV ? What is the setup that is used for most of the people doing development here ?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Beyond TV setup for development

From what I had read, for BTV 4 you might not necessarily need a licence on the development machine for that... But for BTV 3.x, you would need to install BTV-link or such to access the web server on another machine.

Re: Beyond TV setup for development

I have done it in the past (with version 3.x) from a remote machine by using a BTVLink License on the development machine. This worked fine for me (it has been a while though)
