Accessing BTV server from remote machine
Hello all,
I have been developing a custom app to access the BTV server in VB.NET using BeyondTVLibrary.dll. Everything is working fine. I have been developing the app on my BTV machine. Now I am ready for testing on remote machines, but I get the following error when I try to connect: "Server was unable to process request. --> This license cannot be used to access this server remotely." Do I need a different license key to access the server from a client machine? I can connect using WebAdmin from all of my test machines. Thanks. |

Re: Accessing BTV server from remote machine
Yes you need to install BTV-Link or such on your development machine, which gives you 21 days with the trial version... It seems that with version 4 that limitation might be partialy lifted.

Re: Accessing BTV server from remote machine
So I will need to pass a different license key when I connect to the BTV Server in my code, correct?
That would be the license key that I receive with BTV Link? IE: myLicense = New BeyondTVLibrary.BTVLicenseManager(BTVServerMachine Name, 8129) myLicense.Logon(BTVLINKLicense, BTVPassword) Thanks |
