any way to speed up the FF on the mediamvp adapter?

Is there any way to speed up the fastforward? Right now it pretty much sucks. Its slow enough that its a toss up if i watch whatever i recorded on my pc or tv. Either speed up the fast forward or put in a 30 second skip button.

beyond

You mentioned you have the new beta for the mvp, all you really mentioned is that it supports 12 devices and 8.3 file name convention.

*By chance have they addressed the FWD speed issue yet?*

Sorry, the forum user Beyond has a beta version that he mentioned over on his site http://htpcnews.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9 I was hoping that they may have addressed this issue in the beta. I was hoping he will check in and give a comment.

Beta 1.1.21303

Here is the Beta version if you would like to see if it help your fastforward speed issue. I put it on and I believe it may be faster but not by much if so. I need to use it a bit longer to tell.

i think it might be a tad bit faster ... but not fast enough. Basically i want something as fast as the snapstream fast forward ... slightly slower would be ok, but the speed right now is slower then what i get on my vcr.

Yep ... Skip needed

While the playback quality for me is awesome it just isn't worth using for me until there is a skip or faster FF (resume play back too, especially important without skip).

Just too painful even to wait through the 4 min pad I use. Forces me to go to my PC connected TV.

That said I can wait for the functionality knowing it is bound to get here soon enough via 3rd party or otherwise.

same here. the playback is awesome if they can just fix the fast forward. the fast forward is almost useless, sometimes its just better to watch the commercials instead of pressing the fast forward button.
