Feature Request: Program Guide

It would be very nice if the EPG could allow me to select some favourite programs to record and could automatically resolve programming conflicts. Essential to this would be recognizing that a program is the same even if it is on different channels and possibly different dates. I would like to see my favourite programs in the left most column of the grid instead of channels and the rows would show time and channel. I could elect to show all episodes or only first run.

The following are the options I have for 2 programs airing tonight. If I selected them to record all new programs I would like the EPG to resolve the conflicts. This becomes mor complicated if more programs are added.

What are u using the ir blaster for? bell or rogers?

i am just setting mine up and if we have the same equipment that would be great!
