How did you find the Couchville's performance?

As traffic ramps up this week, I'm opening this thread to get feedback on the site's performance. We spent a fair bit of time focusing on making the site experience a fast one and we're wondering what that translates to in terms of the actual user experience.

So, how did you find the performance of the site?

Re: How did you find the site's performance?

I'm talking Couchville here. Thanks for the question, I've edited the title of the thread to make this more clear.

Re: How did you find the Couchville's performance?

Not too bad. It seems a little (fractionally) slower than when you first released it.

Just wish this problem would get fixed...

Re: How did you find the Couchville's performance?

Seems just as quick as when it was first released publicly to me. I'm checking it daily so I'll mention if it seems slow any of those times.

Well, if it handles the digg effect then it should be pretty stable. Since Kevin dug it 2 hours ago its up to 274 diggs so far.
If you're a Snapstream fan, digg it http://digg.com/television/Couchvill...le_TV_Listings

The Opera Browser is not currently supported according to the Help page on www.couchville.com

Re: How did you find the Couchville's performance?

The couchville site appears to be completely broken in Firefox 2 on windows Vista, it doesn't initialise the ajax component after entering in the zip code so there's no option to choose service type.

Also there's a typo on the search results page if you don't type anything in:
"You forgot to type somthing in."

Do you by chance use Proxomitron (anti-ad, anti-popup, etc)?

Someone during beta testing was using an anti-ad add-on to firefox and had a similar problem. Workaround was to put in a site-specific "ignore" on the add-on.

Performance looks great for me. Using XP Firefox 2.0.0.2.

BTW, how do I see what version couchville and what are the history changes?

That was my first thought, as I use AdBlock. When I checked my filter list on your site and the only thing I was blocking when I visit you is google-analytics.com/urchin.js

But, adding couchville to the white list does indeed fix this.

I would say there's some component in the javascript that isn't running if the google site tracking and ad serving components aren't initialising...

Anyway, thanks for the quick pointer.

During the private beta, there used to be a page that showed the history and version changes, but that is gone now.

Question Re: How did you find the Couchville's performance?

I find Couchville works with Opera (9.02) but not IE (6.02) -- i can't even enter my setup data with IE. Then, using Opera, I had to uncheck all but 30 or so boxes to customize the display... how about an "uncheck all PAY channels" option?

Couchville doesn't support Opera right now according to it's help page, but it does support IE. I use IE 6.02 and it works fine.

Re: How did you find the Couchville's performance?

It works on my IE6 but not on my Opera 10, so I will not be using it since I will not use IE on my PVR (I can't read the text and IE6 has no zoom feature).

I know that IE7 does but I hate IE and I have been with Opera for years (started out when it was not a free browser and I purchased it).
