Re: [addon] BTV Podcatcher

Just did a clean install of windows 7 in a virtual machine and ran the setup program that i had linked in my signature. then I started BTV Podcatcher and everything ran just fine.
I then added a feed and then I manual download an episode and then the wrote out BTV description info successfully.

Everything looks to be working fine in Windows 7

Here is my recommendation to you

first try reinstalling BTV Podcatcher (I do not think that is the problem but it will make sure all of the program files are there properly)

if that does not work I would try uninstalling .net (all versions) and then re installing .net (version 2.0 is what BTV Podcatcher was written for but it will work in both 3.0 and 3.5 [I have not installed 4.0 on any machines yet to test it still in beta])

Also a recommendation is to always do a clean operating install when installing a new Operating System (OS) as this will not leave residual OS files that might create extra issues with incompatibilities between the 2 OS

Re: [addon] BTV Podcatcher

It must be my install of Windows 7 has something wrong. I uninstalled BTV Podcatcher and reinstalled it, but it still crashes. Then I uninstalled .net and reinstalled then uninstalled podcatcher again and reinstalled... Still no go... It crashes as soon as I launch it. If it's working for you it must be something with my install. I did do an upgrade from vista (More just to see if it would), and the upgrade worked beautifully minus this problem of course. One day I will do a fresh install of win7 and try that. I'm probably going to wait for the next big launch of BTV (Which I hope will officialy support windows 7).

Thanks for checking it for me! I really do love your software, keep up the good work!
