Short Description: Modified icons for widescreen displays
Long Description: The current ViewScape was designed for 4:3 displays and the way it displays on other aspect ratios such as 16:9 (widescreen) displays is to stretch the screen and it's images to fill the display. This results in stretched out icons in 16:9 mode. In the file "Icons-Widescreen.zip", I took the icons and adjusted them so that when the ViewScape stretches them out, they display normally. Icons-TV.zip contains the original icons. To create your own widescreen version of the icons, edit the icons and reduce the width by 70%. For example, an 118x118 icon will become 83x118. Then increase the canvas size (*not* resize) back to the original size. Exception: The recording indicator dot - never liked it. So I replaced it with the upgrade red icon, looks a lot nicer.

Installation Instructions: Unzip the Icons-Widescreen.zip file into the following directory depending on the installation. BTV: \Program Files\SnapStream Media\Beyond TV\FSMedia\Images BTV Link: \Program Files\SnapStream Media\Beyond TV Link\FSMedia\Images To restore the original images, unzip the Icons-TV.zip file into the correct directory.

Quick question, though. The "Beyond TV Link" image at the top left is not included in your package... is there a reason why?

I thought about adding those as well but decided that the text looks fine at both aspect ratios. If several people comment that they'd like those included, I'll add them.

The left side is the default main menu icons displayed at 4:3. The right side is the same icons displayed in 16:9 mode.



The Widescreen version of the icons in the link above were reduced in width to compensate for the stretching the ViewScape does for 16:9 mode.

Only the altered images are included. No need to include unaltered images because you already have them.

I noticed that the "burn to DVD" icon is not resized since this mod predates the inclusion of that feature... Also the "iTunes Integration" and "automatic community recordings" are stretched
