Exit Beyond TV but don't close BTV from the bottom right taskbar window. (You can if you really want to but since you don't have to there really isn't a reason for it).

Anytime you change your BTV Skin, you should first make a backup of your "FSMedia" folder (copy then paste) which is located in C:/Program Files/Snapstream Media/Beyond TV/

I like to rename it "FSMedia_Original"

From there you should unzip the downloaded files (i.e. LCD.zip) which will reveal an "Images" folder and a "Sounds" folder.

Open the "Images" folder and make a copy of all the contents and then go to C:/Program Files/Snapstream Media/Beyond TV/Images and paste the contents to that folder. You will be promted by windows if you want to replace the existing files with the new ones- select Yes to all.

Next, open the "Sounds" folder that you unzipped and make a copy of all the contents inside of it. This time go to C:/Program Files/Snapstream Media/Beyond TV/Sounds and paste the contents into that folder. Once again, select Yes to all when prompted by windows.

You should be done and when you open up BTV4, the new skin should be there and ready to go. Let me know if you have any issues or if you find a screen that is hard to read. I check my skins on my TV but some people's brightness/contrast settings are different. I like to try and make my skins universal.

Thumbs up Re: [skin] BTV4 LCD

Very nice looking skin; I did have a couple of suggestions, though.

1. I noticed in the list of recorded shows that the scroll bar was still the aqua style of the original skin. Everything else on the screen is in the amber/orang family, so it really stands out.

2. Can you offer another variation on this? Perhaps an old style green CRT feel.

Overall, very nice!

Stu

Re: [skin] BTV4 LCD

I updated this skin- taking away the Aqua scroll bar and making it the amber color. There is also a minor tweak on the space left recording bar.

About the green, I originally tried to use green but BTV looks good when using dark colors and a dark green gave too much of a depressing feel.

Thanks for the positive response on this skin. There are lots of great skins to choose from.

American football: Men in tights. As proved by your screenshot.

I'll stick to female beach volley ball and college cheerleading as spectator sports.
Nothing like a silly OT post once in a while.

Thanks for the skin though.

Re: [skin] BTV4 LCD (January 6 Update)

Your welcome,

Unfortunately, there are a lot of other good skins out there that are getting pushed further down that will probably never get noticed. I kind of wish they would make a separate area for skins.

Check out Paradise, TIVO, or Bridges along with many other really great skins. These guys put a lot of work into their creations and yet do not hear much feedback from users...
