Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
Verify the settings in the Beyond TV web admin. It sounds like you might have the wrong path set for BTV2DVD.exe.

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
Keith,
Thanks for your help! As I mentioned in my previous post, I figured I was doing something wrong. Sure enough, I forgot to make the dvd-temp directory. The plug-in works great after creating that. Thanks again! Scott |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
I'm still getting the error, but not every time. It only happens when I have multi-title support enabled and is only with some recordings. There seems to be something about some of my recordings that the multi-title support doesn't like, but I can't work out what it is. I am recording using the Good (DVD Ready) quality.
I am in the UK, so could it be related to the PAL support? |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
Keith,
One more question. I had recorded a show that was broadcast in widescreen format. I did the Burn to DVD option and everything worked great. No errors, no problems. When I played the disc in my DVD player and displayed it on my TV, the picture was perfectly square. There was a black bar around all four sides and the show was displayed in a perfect square. It looked as if the content had been stretched up a little to get a 4:3 ratio and the picture would not fill the screen because of the four black bars. Is this a setting I can control or does it have something to do with the original show being in a widescreen format? Thanks in advance for your help. I plan on trying the beta version this weekend. Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
When I run it with a recorded show that gives an error, the stepping through gives these steps:
Message: Will you be adding other titles to the disk? Response: Yes Message: Changing to Drive - C Message: Changing Directory to C:\BTV2DVD\dvd-temp\ (this directory does exist) It then pauses for two or three seconds, and the error message is displayed: Chapter Cutting Error Number: 9 Error Description: Subscript out of range Make sure cutter program is in the App_Path Some details of one of the recordings that failed: Quality: MPEG-2 Good (DVD Ready) File Size: 1.38 GB Length: 48:51 |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
I am running it with "visible while processing" enabled.
I have cutting disabled (there is a _cut.xml file but there are no chapter cuts as this is a show on a non-commercial channel) When the error has occurred I find a file titles.txt in the C:\BTV2DVD\dvd-temp\ but the file is empty (when I run it for a recording that works the file contains a description of the recording and chapter details). All the files from basefiles are in the directory. The one show I am trying it with has a long episode description (954 characters), could this be causing a problem when it extracts this to add to the titles.txt file? I have tried changing the description to a shorter one in WebAdmin but it made no difference. |

Hi All,When I am trying to use this, I get errors that: 'C:\BTV2DVD\mpeg2enc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or Batch file I have extracted all the base files, to the BTV2DVD directory but I still get no luck. All suggestions would be appreciated |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
Keith,
I am also getting the following error: 'E:\BTV2DVD_beta\mpeg2enc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or Batch file. All my files including BTV2DVD.exe are in E:\BTV2DVD_beta directory. I updated the web admin command path to reflect this. I also received a dvdauthor.exe not found error. When I looked in the directory I unzipped the basefiles into there was no dvdauthor.exe. I think some files are missing from the basefiles.zip I moved dvdauthor.exe from the directory I had setup before this version. Also my problem with the format of files from IGCutter has not showup with this version of BTV2DVD. so far so good. just the issue with missing .exe's Shuarto |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
DOH!
Keith, That was it! I just checked all my files and I had missed where I put the dvdauthor-0.6.11_win32.zip. When I found that directory, it had all the "missing" files. thanks Shurato |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
new error
PHASE: Dvdvideo realloc started [i] DVD-Video files reallocation started PHASE: Dvdvideo realloc failed Required file 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not present [!] DVD-Video files reallocation failed Burn process failed! NeroAPI reports: DVD-Video files reallocation failed. I have the "generic_files" directory with the video_ts.IFO and .BUP in e:\dvd-temp_beta directory. shouldn't the program be copying them into the dvd2brun directory? thanks Shurato |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
Okay,
I found the neroerr.txt file and got this: 17.4.2005 NeroAPI 4:26:11 PM #1 Phase 112 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 276 DVD-Video files reallocation started 4:26:11 PM #2 DVDREALLOC -21 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 1183 Required file 'VTS_01_0.VOB' is not present 4:26:11 PM #3 Phase 115 File APIProgress.cpp, Line 276 DVD-Video files reallocation failed 4:26:11 PM #4 Text 0 File NeroAPIBurnFS.cpp, Line 212 Failed to realloc DVD video files When I look at the DVD2Burn directory, the VTS_02_0.VOB file is there! So what's the problem? is it the drive path? I have changed the Path to reflect the BTV2DVD directory, |

Re: BTV2DVD Automated chapter cut and archive/burn to disk - from within ViewScape
I step through the entire process (multi-title disc)
and let the dvdburn process fail. I then keep the temp files and the video_ts is there in dvd2burn directory. Using ifoedit I can see the video_ts.ifo and it has the three titles I'm burning listed. When I look at the generic_files video_ts.ifo there is only 1 "title" listed. Also if I try to use Nero gui (6.6.0.8) I still get the error about video_ts.vob not being found. If I use shorty's generic_files video_ts.ifo and .bup the burn will work but the menu does not work correctly. I can get to it after the dvd starts. Shurato |
