In BTV Web Admin : Settings / Audio Video Inputs. Edit the video source you use and you'll find a drop down list to choose the lineup to associate (choose the lineup that match the one created in the importer when you edited your channels).

5) Install the Web guide (after installing IIS through Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove Windows Components in Control Panel). - done
Check in BTV Web Admin : Settings / Advanced Settings / Port Forward, it should be set on "No".

Try http://localhost, if IIS is installed correctly you should see a "Welcome to Windows XP Server Internet Services" page. Also try to hit the default guide page : http://localhost/guide/default.aspx

Regards,
Stéphane.

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Try "localhost".

I think sh-38bbef021672 is just your computername in your workgroup.

EDIT: Not quick enough

Then you may have something on your computer that redirects request for your localhost somewhere else : proxy ? firewall ? security software of some sort ?

Regards,
Stéphane.

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Hi, I'm trying to setup XMLTV Importer. I have managed to import channel line-ups, I have all the files I need in BTV folders, but how do I get to BTV Web Admin??!! I click on the BTV Web Admin link at the end of BTV Importer, and I get the message "The page cannot be displayed". What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that the you loaded the program in the useal interface, it also can be the firewall, or that the port is used bby another program.

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Stéphane,

You have written some great applications, and I have donated 40.00 EUR to help further develop these wonderful products.

I am able to successfully grab the XML files from Zap2It, and your Importer processes them properly. In fact, your Web-based Guide displays everything as it should.

BeyondTV cannot understand the data though.

When I click the "Beyond TV Update" button, two little red arrows appear in the taskbar, then disappear a minute or so later.

The BTV Web Admin Log complains:

Code:
1/28/2005 13:55:28] Version 3.5.1 (Build 1894)

[1/28/2005 14:12:28] Guide Updater Service: Data load into database tables failed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled BTV many times over the last 48 hours. I have the latest .NET Framework 1.1 updates. I have XP Pro SP2.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Usually the 0x80040154 is a "Class not registered" error. So it appears that something is broken within BTV. You should contact SnapStream support for this one.

I'll search later tonight if I can find a reference to PVSGuideDataLoader to see if you can register it by hand.

Regards,
Stéphane.
