Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

I also have this same issue. I would also really like to know how to fix it??

I just cannot seem to assign the linup to my tuner.

Any help would be most appreciated.

The Importer lineups are not correctly handled by new versions of BTV. You'll have to contact Snapstream support to see why this is the case or use an older version of BTV.

Regards,
Stéphane.

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Hi Stephane, Many thanks for the response. I've logged a support incident and it is currently awaiting "internal duplication". I'll update this post when I get news.

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

To Webbo and Clive Gordon:

got the same problem, after some crashes, but now everything working fine

i hope im remember right, so:
0., allways backup btv and xmltv importer settings, and xmltv installed to another drive of OS
1., reinstalled xp, btv, xmltv importer
2., do a setup wizard, make a chan scan (im using analog cable on a remuiltiplexed antenna network)
3., check in btv live tv everything is working, u can see the chans
4., copy back the xmltv importer settings
5., start xmltv importer, hit import, must check/hit channels! and setting up lineup which can be use on that tuner, w8 for total ready, then close
6., check lineups over webadmin, select imported and then maybe u can delete the original one

these method is in my mind, i hope its correct
but anyway, i will do it again on next day, and i will record my screen, how can it be working

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Maybe I am missing something here but whenever I try to update BTV with this Importer it just comes back with an error saying it cannot connect to Web Admin - Unable to connect to remote server.

I currently have no Line Ups and no Schedule in BTV.

BTV is running while you're updating?

BTV is running as in the agent and web server but nothing being viewed. I have tried it with and without BTV agent running I get the same error with both.

I note some people in this thread have said the latest version of BTV breaks the XMLTV updater but I don't know where to get the previous version which is reported to be working.

Also I am on the trial of BTV does that make a difference with the Updater?

Re: [plugin] XMLTV Importer

Doesn't make any difference whether I run it as admin or not, still the same error:

Although why it is referring to "remote server" is beyond me, clearly BTV is a local server (localhost) is it trying to connect to somewhere else?

I really want to use BTV (saves me running a second box for MythTV) but if I can't get this to work then there really is no point as if I can't schedule with paid software I may as well go back to free software.

This is the path listed in the importer settings:

<beyondtv_path value="C:\ProgramData\SnapStream\Beyond TV" />

Which is where the Beyond TV configuration files are for Vista - or is it supposed to point somewhere else?
