Needing help picking a HD cards

Hey everyone,

I have been using Beyond TV for about 2-3yrs now…I’ve been out of loop for sometime now. I would like to know what USB, PCI- or PCI-E Card (I would prefer PCI or USB…but if not then PCI-E) to get. I want to watch HD that are in HD from my HD cable box with out watching them over the air. Is this possible? Looking to replace my pvr-500 with a 2 HD cards or Usb.

Thanks

Re: Needing help picking a HD cards

Unless you know you have Clear QAM channels as part of your cable package OR want to record premium HD channels, your only choice at the moment is the Hauppauge HD-PVR

You should always review your BTV Log if you have issues.

Re: Needing help picking a HD cards

Since you mentioned USB, you also might want to consider the HD Homerun. It can connect through your network or even directly to a second card on your PC. It can capture HD from Clean QAM or OTA, but that is of course only if it is being transmitted.
Comcast just converted over 1/2 of our Analog channels >30 with the other half going at the end of this month. Stupid Comca$t. But on the other hand, they now send all of the local channels in normal and HD. CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, CB, WE. Most are only 720, a couple 1080i.
