QAM digital channel switches to analog
Hi,
I have a PVR-150 tuner (analog) and a Hauppauge 1250 tuner. I have the digital tuner listed as the "first" tuner in my recording inputs. However, sometimes, not always, when I tune to an HD channel it will use the digital tune for 1-2 seconds then switch to the analog tuner. I have not been able to determine why it is donig this. Any ideas what I might not have correct in my configuration? Here is an example of what the log file looks like when it does this: ***start*** 2009/10/3 14:51:15] BDA source filter: Hauppauge WinTV 885 BDA Tuner/Demod [2009/10/3 14:51:17] Opening a new slice at D:\WorkingMedia\Yellowstone_ Land to Life-2009-10-03-0.tp [2009/10/3 14:51:18] Attempting to dispatch AnalogTV on Cable QAM (Digital) - Hauppauge WinTV 885 BDA Tuner/Demod [2009/10/3 14:51:19] Creating new slice: LiveTitle changed. Re: QAM digital channel switches to analog
Do you have a recording starting within 10 minutes on the digital tuner? When you have multiple types of tuners, BTV predetermines what tuner to use for recordings and makes sure that tuner is not being used 10 minutes before the recording starts.

Quote:
I have my QAM channels set the same as my analog channels. So if the program is on channel 5, say, (a local HD channel) and I have an available tuner, it is in HD. If a QAM tuner is not available, then it is in SD.
