Re: Does anyone know where BeyondTV gets its guide data?

See I'm doubting that a bit. . .only b/c Zap2It doesn't provide data for NFL sunday ticket from directv (e.g. which game is on what channel), but snapstream.net does. . .

I could be wrong though. . . maybe there is a feature of the Zap2It apis that I don't know about. . .

Re: Does anyone know where BeyondTV gets its guide data?

The EPG data comes from Zap2it. Same source as SageTV uses.

Here's a very recent post from a SS rep that confirms that fact.

Don't honestly know. Are you sure Sunday ticket info isn't available from zap2it or Sagetv?

Re: Does anyone know where BeyondTV gets its guide data?

Sage is definitely not showing the game data in app. . .not sure why. . . I filed a bug. . .
Zap2It definitely doesn't show it on the website, but that doesn't mean their API doesn't provide it. . .

My original guess was that since snapstream.net shows it. . . perhaps they are supplementing the data some how. . . but I could be wrong given the previous post. . . or it could be a bug in sage

Re: Does anyone know where BeyondTV gets its guide data?

Yeah I see sunday ticket in both cases. . . but that's not the problem. . .

The problem is that it doesn't tell you which game is on what channel.
Of course using DirecTV STB on its own, it does tell you this. . . as does snapstream.net.

I tried both DirecTV USA, and DirecTV San Diego, and still the same issue. . .

So i'm curious how the heck snapstream is resolving this. . .

The main source for BTV (as well as Zap2it and most others) is Tribune Services. Since the Sunday ticket is specific to DirectTV, my guess is that BTV is getting it straight from D* if other Tribune services aren't showing it.

Re: Does anyone know where BeyondTV gets its guide data?

zap2it is tribune, so it's the same source

the regular programming usually just says Sunday Ticket, just like other PPV sporting packages. We put in extra coding to get these listings for Direct TV so they display properly, so it's something we did on our end to make the recording experience better.
