Zap2it or Snapstream? Guide updates (non-digital trans related)

I noticed 5 weeks ago that all my Encore channels on the guide are 3 hours behind compared to what actually is shown on the channel. Starz which comes with the same package from Comcast, are on the correct time.

I submitted a ticket to Zap2it as what was mentioned by SS on the whole digital transition issue. 5 weeks later and a bunch of missed recording later...I'm wondering when this would be done by Zap so that SS gets the update...so that my machine gets it.

My question is, do we submit non-digital transition guide issues to Snapstream first? Is there any confirmation from Zap of when they do correct it? (so I can adjust the recording times for my recordings accordingly)

Re: Zap2it or Snapstream? Guide updates (non-digital trans related)

I haven't had cable for a long time, but when I did I remember having this problem with some channels. What happens is the cable company is sending you a feed from the wrong coast (i.e.: if you're in NY, they're giving you the CA feed). This may not be your case, but it's a place to start.

In the meantime, why not just set up manual recordings for the shows you want - kind of a pain, but better than missing your shows?

Unfortunately the Comcast's guide is correct. I get the Pacific stations, true; however, the Zap2it/SS guide lists those channels 3 hours ahead of what they should be.

I guess I just file a support ticket and edit the jobs for those channels in the meanwhile to start 3 hours earlier. Just annoying to have to remember just for 5 Starz channels that I need to edit the jobs.
