Question BTV and UK

The package looks fantastic but no suggestion as to it validity within the UK. I've searched the forum but several hundred posts without any decernable answer isn't helping me. Can I be BTV in the UK as the EPG is for US and Can?

Unfortunately not if you're planning on using it with DVB (digital tv oustide of US). See this post for details of previous discussion re: DVB support and how it will never be supported by Snapstream.

I'd suggest Sage TV but there are many options out there. Brent's Geektonic site is worth checking out.

Re: the guide data, there are excellent xmltv solutions out there that are very simple to configure. DVB also sends guide data along with the broadcast. If no other guide source is configured Sage will use this guide data automagically. In Australia this gives ~ 7 days epg. I'm not sure what the ota guide data is like in the UK.

Mick.

Re: BTV and UK

Thank you for your help.
I shall try to do it with another setup. I'm actually quite bummed about not using BTV as it looks so easy. UK left out again
