Help setting up a new tuner card

I've added a Hauppauge HVR-1250 card to my existing system hoping I will be able to record a specific digital channel.

Can someone tell me how I access that setup dialog I saw when I first installed BTV. The one that searches for the channels for each of your cards.

Thanks!

Re: Help setting up a new tuner card

When you run setup to add the tuner to BTV, just create a new lineup and it will prompt you for the scan.

Re: Help setting up a new tuner card

I found it. Had to shut down BTV and then click on setup under the programs listing. That's why I could not get to it with BTV running apparently.

Thanks.

Re: Help setting up a new tuner card

The computer did not come with instructions on how to set up this
tuner, so I may be doing something wrong. This is how I set up the TV
tuner. I placed a TV cable into the "Antenna in" port. When that
didn't work, I even tried placing a 2nd cable into the "TV in" port.

Re: Help setting up a new tuner card

What channel are you trying to receive. Antenna? Cable? We need more info to help.

What make and model are you using? Most tuners support all in the same port. Also, be sure to go onto the System Requirements for Snapstream and choose the correct broadcasting method.
SnapStream Beyond TV: System Requirements

They are mostly universal while some are only Analog. Be sure to have installed the software from the tuner's instruction manual or their website for the latest software version.
