Until recently, I had no problem recording OTA digital signals using dtv converters. The program guide data was still in the "analog" format with the channel numbers familier to me (such as 4, 5, 8, etc.). When the usbuirt tuned to a specific channel, such as "8", the converter box just tuned to the first digital channel corresponding to that number, in this case "8-1".
At some time in the past 10 days, all the analog program data became no longer available, and I lost at least 7 days of programing. As of now, I have not been successful in using the antenna (digital) guide data to tune the converter boxes.
Specifically, if I choose the ATSC TV as the tuner type of one WinTV PVR 1600, I can download a digital program guide for my zipcode. This however does not allow me to use an external tuner (i.e. converter box). If I choose Analog TV as the tuner type of the 1600, I can set up an external tuner (converter), but cannot assign the antenna (digital) channel lineup to it.
I thought if I used the custom lineup wizard (
SnapStream.Net :: Home) to setup a digital channel lineup for my zipcode, I could edit the PHYSICAL data to correspond to the appropriate "analog" number that would tune the converter boxes. However, the custom lineup wizard listed antenna(analog), cable, and satellite as the only service choices.
I am somewhat frustrated!! What can I do?
