Warning Message While Watching a Recorded Show?

So, last night I was watching a previously recorded show while 4 other shows were being recorded (via 2 HDHRs). I found out later that sometime during the recording, one of the HDHR power adapters failed. I didn't find this out until much later when I returned to the BTV main screen and saw that I had some warning messages. By then, the shows were over.

Had BTV popped up a message while I was watching the previously recorded show, I could have taken some action but there was no indication of a problem brought to my attention. Is there an option to have a message pop up while watching a previously recorded show when BTV logs a warning?
