A-V sync issues with ShowSqueeze

Any else having audio to video sync issues when they compress a video using ShowSqueeze in Divx?

I'm testing with small 3 minute clips and they are out of sync from the get go.

Nope. Mine work just fine. I showsqueeze tons of shows to Divx.

Re: A-V sync issues with ShowSqueeze

My sync is great. In fact I lose sync on certain HD shows using the AutoXvid add-on and use Showsqueeze as the backup.

Re: A-V sync issues with ShowSqueeze

I've resolved myself to checking each showsqueezed file to make sure the A/V is in sync before moving it to my SAN. It does happen from time to time. Then again, it happens with DVD rips also.

Re: A-V sync issues with ShowSqueeze

Some of this may be the PVR cards.

I sometimes have A-V sync issues that have to be resolved. Not terribly hard to do. You need to demux the Mpeg2 file in TMPGEnc, take the audio portion into Goldwave and slide it a bit left or right and then remux back with the video again, using TMPGEnc.

It works perfectly after you get the delay set correctly and you don't go down a generation when you do it this way.

More of a pain than anything else.

As it happens my A-V sync seems ok of late. At least it's not out enough to be that bothersome. If you stand back several feet and get a few beers into you it looks just fine.

Or perhaps it's those UK-spec drivers that you're running. Consider that they're not using an NTSC signal over there, so if there are any NTSC-related bugs associated with those drivers, then nobody's ever going to know about it.

FWIW, I never had any problems with DivX and my old PVR-500 configuration.
