Media extender's

Since we are going to loose our analog channels here in a few weeks, I guess my media mvp's will be no good any more. So here is my question, what is everyone going to do to play there transport streams? Has any one come up with a media extender that will work with BYTV or our we all going to have to build link machines? Anyone got any insight as to whether Snap Stream has anything in the works at this time? Time is ticking away!!!!

Re: Media extender's

Using a custom lineup, I am recording SD DTV from an ATSC STB using my PVR-500's S-Video inputs. The quality of the stream from a strong digital signal is much better than even what I was getting recording analog cable.

Here's an old thread with the details. I've replaced the RJTech STB with a new ChannelMaster unit, and so I've had to relearn the IR and tweak the physical channel mappings in the custom lineup, but the overall process should work the same.
