Laptop requirement/ CPU Clarifiction

In terms o f your page:
snapstream.com/products/beyondtv/sysreq.asp

Do you really need a 3GHZ CPU for 1080p?? There are only like 3 made..
for DUO 2
intel.com/products/processor_number/chart/core2duo.htm?iid=pn_ov+list_c2d

If I have an Laptop with
Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB
NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT w/1GB VRAM

Do you see any issues using Hapupage's HD PVR??
Thanks

Re: Laptop requirement/ CPU Clarifiction

Dual core and "Core 2" are not the same. I have a Pentium Dual-Core in my BTV machine as you can see from my sig.

I'm not overly fond of laptops as BTV servers (mainly from overheating), but those specs look like it should be able to handle the HD-PVR...as long as you make sure you are using the Arcsoft Decoder for your h.264. It comes with Total Media Extreme (TME) that came on your drivers disc.

You should always review your BTV Log if you have issues.

Re: Laptop requirement/ CPU Clarifiction

Your machine is more than powerful enough. Likely overkill.
