I'm in the process of wrapping up a command line tool to update or add meta info to dvr-ms files.
What I'd like to be able to do is gather the meta info from BTV (some sort of way) and then add that info to the dvr-ms files during post-processing. Specifically I'm looking to fill the following keys: Title WM/Genre WM/MediaCredits WM/MediaOriginalBroadcastDateTime WM/MediaStationCallSign WM/OriginalReleaseTime WM/SubTitle WM/SubTitleDescription Does anyone have idea of where this info may be stored or how to get at it? If it happens to be in an xml file that would be great as long I know which one... it would be really great if BTV could spit out the meta info into an xml file in the same folder as the recording :-) In a netshell here is the "auto-magic" process: - BTV fires off an app which in turn runs comskip, VideoReDo, etc - Comskip creates the VideoReDo project - VideoReDo saves the new file as dvr-ms - The app then cleans up all the "stuff" the other apps leave behind - * At this point I'd like to "auto-magic" add the meta info * Any tips, pointers, or other help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Scott |

Re : BTV and Meta info for DVR-MS... Looking for some pointers
You can use the public API:
http://code.snapstream.com/api/btv49/ BTVLibrary.GetMediaByFullName would get you what you want...

Re: BTV and Meta info for DVR-MS... Looking for some pointers
I found extactly what I was looking for in BTVMetaData (part of the BTV command line tools add-on).
This app generates an XML file with all the meta info and I didnt have to reinvent the wheel... perfect :-) -Scott |
