HD Homerun Slow Tuning

I just added the HD Homerun to my system and the re-mapping went well and everything is up to date.

I did notice that tuning to a channel (for the first time) from the channel guide on the Homerun takes about 15 seconds.

Once it has tuned to a channel I can tune to others with normal wait of (1) second give or take.

Once I tune to a different tuner on my system and then try to go back to a channel on the Homerun the same thing happens.

Just looking for some advice and if others experience the same.

The current system tuned much faster with OTA HD so wondering if this is a network issue or if my system is too slow for the Homerun unit to be more responsive.

I do want to add that during the setup the VLC Player tunes very quickly to all of the HD QAM channels.

Thanks for any help on this!

I am running:
XP Media Center SP2
3GHZ
1 GIG Ram
GForce 8500GT

Re: HD Homerun Slow Tuning

Forum search does wonders....

In the web admin, for your HDHR tuner, make sure you click on the option that says that the HDHR is tuning QAM.

Did you make that setting change during configuration?
