Error 12 - Could not start recorder

I've been getting Error 12 - "Could not start recorder! Please re-run the Setup Wizard or try to fix your configuration. See log for details."

The log details are:

Code:

I'm not sure what a BDA source filter is. I'm running Beyond TV 4.8.2 (build 5902) on Vista Ultimate 64-bit. PC is an Athlon 64 X2 4400+ with 2 GB RAM. Has anyone seen this issue? Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.

Only thing I can think of is that the computer is in a semi-suspend mode, for example the D: drive where my BeyondTV directory resides is in sleep mode. I'd hope Beyond TV would wake up the resources it needs. Thanks for any help people could offer.

Chaz

Re: Error 12 - Could not start recorder

Excellent question. I have been fighting this issue for the past few weeks once I updated my BTV box to vista 32-bit Ultimate. I have been having issues with my PVR-500 cards asking to reinstall the drivers almost every time I restart. I figure either there is a driver conflict or one of my cards is going out.

The first thing I am doing is reinstalling XP and seeing where that gets me. I will let you know what happens once I do the reinstall this weekend.
