Using BTV Link as main TV watching vs BTV Directly

Could anyone tell me if you lose picture quality ...using BTV Link as your main viewing option vs BTV directly?

I ask this because I noticed that the streaming option (for Link) at best...streams @ 2371 kpbs vs BTV directly @ 7054 kpbs.

Or perhaps I do not understand what is going on here.

Re: Using BTV Link as main TV watching vs BTV Directly

When using BTV link you are playing the files directly from your recording pool just like the server. Most likely on a link machine that pool is some where else on the network, but doesn't necessarily have to be. So if your link system has the same graphics capability as your server there should be no difference in quality. You may see stuttering if your network connection can't handle the traffic though. If your on a wired network you should not have a problem.
