ATI TV Wonder 650

I have the above mentioned capture device with the Catylist Media Center. I only want to use Beyond TV but at times Catylist starts on its own. And at other times, it changes the video input own it's own. I also have a Happauge HD PVR. Not sure it that has anything to do with it or not.

Re: ATI TV Wonder 650

Go to control panel/add-remove programs and uninstall CMC. This is the program that ATI ships with the 650 and it is pretty crappy! If you don't use it, just get rid of it.

I also have the same ATI card and have removed the catalst thing as bird said a long time ago. In my opinion it's garbage.

Re: ATI TV Wonder 650

ATI Catalyst Media Center is a re-branded OEM version of Cyberlink PowerCinema and is commonly referred to as garbage (for good reason),….especially when compared to quality software like BeyondTV.

Re: ATI TV Wonder 650

OK. I did the uninstall but now BTV doesn't pick up the chanels whereas with Catalyst, it did pick them up. Am I missing a step in order to get it to work? Thanks for your help.

You can try uninstalling the drivers completely along with Catalyst Media Center, then re-install the drivers but do not install Catalyst Media Center.

Also, did you go to advanced settings on BTV to be sure it's set up to see the ATI 650?
