Overdriven Audio

Hello Everyone,
Well I have set my sound recording levels in windows on my line in. I have dropped the levels to an acceptable range ~70%. But it appears that btv automatically changes its sound levels. So all recordings still sounds overdriven.

Any tips to get the audio recording to record at my level, or at least sound not overdriven?

Thanks in Advance!

Re: Overdriven Audio

Sound is initially recorded at the tuner level...not line in typically.
Then BTV uses the primary audio device for playback through the audio decoders.

Re: Overdriven Audio

Thanks

My tv tuner card has an audio out that goes into the line in on the computer which is where it records at. I have changed the audio recording levels in windows and beyond tv somehow ignores the changes and records them at 100% every time. Even if I change it, it still doesnt seem to affect the audio recording level.
I have my playback level dropped to 50% and it is really overdriven from the recording and not the playback. I gues I will see if there is a boost option that I can turn off.
Thanks!

Re: Overdriven Audio

Let's backtrack to your tuner card. What is it?
