Help! No audio while using BeyondTV

Hi,
I use BTV (I think the latest update I downloaded last week was 4.8) in my Vista machine with an ATI HDTV Wonder TV Tuner Card. However, when I run BTV, I get video, but no audio whatsoever. I have to admit - I have not tried recording shows and playing them back on other players. However, all my other regular media content plays fine with audio. The thing is, when I use MCE to watch live TV, audio is no problem.
I snooped around in the forums/FAQ for a while, and tried some of the suggestions. For e.g., one suggestion was changing a Startup value in Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Services -> Windows MCE something to 'Disabled' from auto, but that didn't work. There is no option to pull an audio out from my TV tuner card to my line in either.
I have also checked the dumb things - like making sure I'm not set at mute etc. Does anyone have any idea how I can get audio to work in BTV??
Any help will be greatly appreciated! I'd much prefer to use BTV over MCE!
Thanks.

Well, lets cover all of the dumb things first. In the settings button in BTV (this is a little tools looking button at the top of the screen while the TV feed is actually playing). You have a choice between 2 channel, 5.1 and spdif. Have you played with those yet?

Also, do you get any sound out of your computer (i.e. listening to music, watching DVD's).

Yes, I have. I have a 2.1 speaker system hooked up. No audio in all 3 options.

Yes - audio on everything else (including live TV on MCE) works fine.

Viewscape>>Settings/Playback Settings/MPEG 2 Audio Decoder. Which one is selected, try a different one.

The Snapstream Audio Decoder is the default value. I have tried the other option also - the Basic Audio Decoder - but still no dice.
Interestingly, if I record something and play back the .tp file using an external player, the audio is there! If I playback in Snapstream itself, still no audio. And of course, no audio on live TV

Re: Help! No audio while using BeyondTV

Try running the BTV setup wizard and see if the audio video test works properly.

This usually happens when BTV fails on playing a corrupted file. I believe that bug has been fixed in the latest version.

Re: Help! No audio while using BeyondTV

I have tried the setup wizard. Though I dont see any explicit audio/video setup, I do not get any errors/warnings about my audio. My viewscape is also not running on mute or 0 volume

Re: Help! No audio while using BeyondTV

Please refer to this article:

http://www.realtime-vista.com/instal...t_in_vista.htm

Vista has Per-Application audio settings and it sounds as if it may have reset the audio level to 0.
If that doesn't work, start a recorded show and then move the volume slider up in Beyond TV until the bar goes RED. Please inform us whether this works out for you.
